The management of Ado Bayero mall in Kano has said the facility is not for sale, describing reports of any listing of the commercial centre as fraudulent, misleading, and untrue.
In a statement issued on Monday, David Okpanachi, the general manager, said the management has not appointed any agent to market the mall or engage in discussions or negotiations regarding its sale.
Contrary to the claims, Okpanachi said the mall, one of Kano’s key retail destinations, has continued to operate optimally, serving the shopping, leisure, and lifestyle needs of residents and visitors.
“Operations remain stable; the owners continue to focus on providing a secure and high-quality environment for tenants, customers, and the wider community,” he stated.
He advised the public, investors, and business partners to exercise caution and refrain from engaging with any individual or entity claiming to represent a sale of the mall.
“Such representations are unauthorised and may constitute fraudulent activity,” the statement added.
The management said all official information regarding the mall would be communicated directly by its owners through verified channels only.
