Mr. Adeyeye Ajayi, a personal assistant to the former military head of state, General Yakubu Gowon (rtd), has debunked the former Nigerian leader’s rumoured death, describing it as a fake news.

Adeyeye, in a statement on Sunday, called on the general public to disregard the rumour currently circulating on social media.

According to him, General Gowon is in good health and has been attending public functions, playing his role as a voice of reason and support for Nigeria’s growth and development.
