The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the discovery of a 16-year-old boy, Alex Ansol, who was found wandering in Dadin Kowa village in Doguwa Local Government Area of the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command.
According to the statement, the teenager was reported missing after losing contact with his relatives while travelling to Kano.
“The Kano State Police Command has received a report of a 16-year-old boy, Alex Ansol, who was found wandering in Dadin Kowa Village, Doguwa LGA, Kano State,” the statement said.
The police explained that Alex had recently arrived in Nigeria from Spain alongside his relatives.
“According to reports, Alex Ansol, together with his four relatives arrived in Nigeria from Spain on 30/03/2026 via Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja. He was travelling to Kano to visit his father, Ansol Fan. However, he lost contact with his relatives along Jos to Saminaka road,” the statement added.
The Command further described the boy as fluent in English, thin, and dark in complexion, with no tribal marks.
“The boy, who speaks English, is thin and black in complexion, with no tribal marks. He gave his address as Barsa Rub, Opp 46 Stadium, Spain,” Kiyawa stated.
The police noted that efforts were ongoing to locate his relatives and reunite them with him.
“The Police are making efforts to locate his relatives and reunite them with Alex,” the statement said.
The Command also appealed to members of the public to assist with useful information that could help in tracing his family.
“Anyone with information about Alex’s relatives or family should contact the Office of the PPRO, Kano State Command Police Command, or contact the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Doguwa Division Kano via 07038363421,” the statement concluded.
