The Kano State Ministry of Education is set to disseminate the findings of its Out-of-School Children (OOSC) Survey Report as part of efforts to address barriers to education and reduce the number of children out of school across the state.

INSIDE KANO reports that the dissemination is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the COVID-19 Hall, Gidan Murtala, Kano, beginning at 10 a.m.

According to an invitation issued by Yushau Hamza, Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, on behalf of the Commissioner for Education, the event will formally present findings from the OOSC assessment and provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss the key challenges affecting access to education in Kano State.

The ministry said the programme would also facilitate constructive dialogue among Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), development partners, local government authorities, civil society organisations and other education stakeholders.

The objective of the dissemination is to present the findings of the assessment, generate discussions on their policy implications and agree on practical measures to reduce the number of children who are out of school in the state.

The ministry said the findings were expected to provide stakeholders with evidence needed to better understand the scale and nature of the out-of-school children challenge and support the development of appropriate interventions.

It called on participating organisations and stakeholders to attend and actively contribute to the discussions.

The ministry also expressed appreciation to its partners and stakeholders for their continued cooperation towards strengthening the education sector and ensuring that every school-age child in Kano has access to quality education.
