Victor Osimhen on target as Galatasaray S.K. defeat İstanbul Başakşehir F.K. 3–0

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued his impressive scoring form as Galatasaray cruised to a 3–0 victory over İstanbul Başakşehir in a Turkish Süper Lig clash on Saturday.

The Nigerian striker was among the goal scorers as Galatasaray delivered a dominant performance at home, strengthening their push for the league title.

Osimhen’s strike helped put the game beyond the visitors as the Istanbul giants controlled proceedings from start to finish.

Galatasaray opened the scoring in the second half through Wilfried Singo in the 57th minute after sustained pressure on the Başakşehir defence.

Osimhen doubled their advantage in the 66th leaving the visitors with a mountain to climb while Renato Nhaga rounded off the goals in the 84th minute.

With the victory, Galatasaray maintained their strong position in the Süper Lig title race.

Next stop for Galatasaray is the second leg of the Champions League game away at Liverpool on Wednesday.

Galatasaray has a one goal advantage going into the fixture. A win or a draw would secure a spot for Galatasaray in the next round.
