The Times Higher Education (THE) of the United Kingdom, in its 2026 World University Assessment, has ranked Bayero University, Kano (BUK), as Nigeria’s overall best university in terms of international outlook.

According to a post on the Bayero University Facebook page on Saturday, the university was ranked Nigeria’s number one institution for international outlook for three consecutive years (2024, 2025 and 2026) by Times Higher Education (UK).

The ranking, which reflects global relevance, strong partnerships, and a growing international reputation, places the institution at the top nationally in that category.

Bayero University, Kano, noted that the recognition reflects its strong international standing.

The development is seen as a boost to the university’s profile among institutions with global academic engagement.
