Governor Yusuf expresses grief over the death of the Emir of Rano’s mother.

The Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Maimuna Umar, mother of the Emir of Rano.

This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, on Monday.

“Governor Yusuf has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Rano Emirate over the passing of the Emir’s mother, Hajiya Maimuna Isah Umar,” the statement said.

The late Umar died at the age of 95 after a life devoted to faith, family, and service to humanity.

Yusuf described her death as a great loss, not only to the Rano Emirate but also to Kano State as a whole.

He noted that the deceased lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation, marked by humility, wisdom, and dedication to Islamic values.

The governor extended his condolences to the Emir of Rano, the entire royal family, and the people of the emirate over the irreparable loss.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.

Yusuf also prayed for Allah to grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.

The governor urged the faithful to remember the deceased in their prayers, especially at this moment of grief.

The funeral prayer (Jana’iza) is scheduled to take place after 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
