Governor Yusuf Names Dahir Hashim Acting Commissioner for Water Resources

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has appointed the Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Dr Dahiru Muhammad Hashim, as the Acting Commissioner for the State Ministry of Water Resources.

The development was disclosed on Monday by Dr Hashim through a post on his verified Facebook page, where he confirmed the additional responsibility entrusted to him by the governor.

According to him, the appointment reflects the confidence reposed in him by the state government to oversee affairs in the Ministry of Water Resources, alongside his current portfolio.

“His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has further entrusted me with the responsibility to serve as the Acting Commissioner for the Kano State Ministry of Water Resources,” he stated.

Our sources reports that Hashim acknowledged the enormity of the task ahead, particularly in addressing water supply challenges across the state, and pledged to approach the assignment with diligence and commitment.

He emphasized that efforts would be geared towards improving access to clean and safe water for residents, noting that progress would be made gradually.

The acting commissioner also offered prayers for divine guidance and strength to successfully carry out the responsibilities of the office.
