The District Head of Garun Mallam and Sarkin Fulanin Ja’idinawan Kano, Alhaji Abubakar Gwadabe Buhari, has died.
The Chairman of Daneji Amintacciya Community Development Association, Alhaji Salisu Abubakar Mai Manja Daneji, announced the death in a statement shared on the community’s WhatsApp platform.
The statement said the traditional ruler died on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
According to the announcement, funeral prayers for the late Sarkin Fulanin Ja’idinawa will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at about 11:00 a.m. at the Emir’s Juma’a Mosque in Kano.
The community leader described the death as a great loss and prayed for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, while also asking God to grant his family and associates the strength to bear the loss.
Until his death, Alhaji Abubakar Gwadabe Buhari was a respected traditional titleholder in Kano, serving as Sarkin Fulanin Ja’idinawan Kano and District Head of Garun Malam Local Government Area.
