Kano State Government has approved the early payment of March 2026 salaries to all civil servants in the state ahead of the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr (Sallah) celebrations.

Rukayya Uba Sulaiman, Director of the Public Enlightenment Office of the Head of Service, confirmed the development in a statement on Saturday, noting that the directive followed instructions from the Executive Governor of Kano State.

The Acting Head of Service, Haj. Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, explained the rationale behind the move, stating, “The directive was issued to enable workers to prepare adequately for the celebration of the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr in a convenient and dignified manner.”

According to the statement, the early payment reflects the administration’s commitment to the welfare of civil servants and its appreciation of their dedication and contributions to the state’s development.

Maimota urged civil servants to “utilize the gesture responsibly while continuing to demonstrate commitment, discipline, and efficiency in the discharge of their duties to improve service delivery in the state.”

The government also reaffirmed its resolve to continue implementing policies that promote workers’ welfare and enhance productivity within the civil service.
