• – – Recognizes as Gender Sensitive Governor

In recognition of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf strides in Infrastructure development in the state, the governor has been awarded with an ” Award of Excellence” by the Nigeria Institute of Building (NIB).

This was made known via a statement issued by the governor’s Spokesperson Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa in Kano Wednesday.

The award was conferred on the governor at the end of the Institute’s National Conference held in Kano, presented to him at the commencement of the 26th Kano State Executive Council meeting.

Presenting the Award, the Commissioner of Procurement, Projects Monitoring and Evaluation, Hon. Nura Iro Ma’aji said the awarding Institute appreciated Governor Yusuf effort in the infrastructural development of the state.

Also, the Commissioner of Women Affairs, Children and the Disabled, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani presented “Gender Sensitive Governor” conferred on the in Commomeration of 2025 Women Day.

Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani maintained that the award was in recognition of the governor’s empowerment drive to thousands of women and gender inclusiveness in the running of his government.

In his response, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf thanked the awardees and pledged committement in the initiation and implementation of policies and programmes that have direct bearing to the lives of people of the state.
