Governor Yusuf accompanies Shekarau to collect APC membership card in Kano

The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, led a delegation to accompany former Kano Senator, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, to receive his All Progressives Congress (APC) membership card at Giginyu ward in Nassarawa Local Government Area.

The event was attended by party supporters and leaders, who described the development as a significant milestone in the state’s political landscape.

In his remarks, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed his delight over the development, stating that Shekarau’s entry into the APC would further strengthen the party in Kano State and the northern region at large. He described Shekarau as a respected and experienced politician whose contributions would help advance the party’s objectives.

The governor also called on other politicians to embrace unity and mutual respect in the interest of societal progress, emphasizing that their goal remains ensuring good governance and the welfare of the people.

In his own remarks after receiving the membership card, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau expressed appreciation to party leaders and supporters for the warm reception. He reaffirmed his commitment to contributing to the growth of the APC and serving the people of Kano State.

Shekarau added that unity and collective effort among party members would guarantee the party’s success in future elections.
