The Kano State Police Command has announced that the written examination for police constable recruitment will take place from April 28 to April 30, 2026, urging candidates to adhere strictly to guidelines and avoid fraudulent schemes.

In a statement issued on April 25, the Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), confirmed that the exercise will be conducted nationwide across designated centres in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

In Kano State, the examination is scheduled to hold at the North-West University Main Campus, located along Muhammadu Buhari Way.

According to the statement, only applicants who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening will be eligible to sit for the examination. Qualified candidates have been directed to log on to the official recruitment portal from April 24, 2026, to print their examination invitation cards, which will specify their test date, time, and venue.

Applicants are required to come along with a pen, their National Identification Number (NIN) slip bearing a clear photograph, and a printed copy of their examination invitation card. The prescribed dress code includes white shorts, a white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes.

The PSC emphasized that the recruitment process is free of charge and warned against any form of job racketeering or financial inducement.

“The recruitment process is entirely free, and any attempt to solicit money from applicants will be met with the full force of the law,” the commission stated.

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, also urged candidates to comply with all instructions and maintain order during the exercise.

“Applicants are advised to arrive early at the venue and conduct themselves in an orderly manner throughout the examination period,” he said.

The command reiterated its commitment to ensuring a transparent and credible recruitment process.
